About Tobago
Tobago is said to have inspired Daniel Defoe's Robinson Crusoe stories
- and once you've visited the island you'll understand why.
Unspoiled beaches, secluded waterfalls and an ancient rainforest of Tobago,
combine for a taste of paradise. The average temperature during the high
season is approximately 85 degrees, though being so close to the equator,
Tobago is fairly warm all year. This, along with her translucent warm
water, vast deserted golden sandy beaches and clear blue skies make Tobago
a favourite for sun bathers. Compared to other Carribbean islands Tobago
is quiet, but if you like small places, with a warm friendly atmosphere,
small clubs/bars etc and friendly locals - Tobago is the place to go.

Inland, you can visit the famous three-tiered waterfall: Argyll Falls.
If waterfalls are not your thing then you might fancy a guided tour of
the west's oldest preserved rainforest. Or maybe you'd like to check out
the birds (the feathered kind) on 'Little Tobago' island - a 450 acre
bird sanctuary which hosts a vast variety of rare species.
The coast of this beautiful, virtually unspoiled island is ideal for
scuba diving. The Orinaco River pours rich nutrients into Tobago's waters
creating an underwater landscape that's healthy and vibrant. The diving
is second to none, with visibility from 70-100 feet. Divers come face-to-face
with giant manta rays with wingspans reaching up to 20 feet. Known as
'Tobago taxis' the manta rays are famous for their interaction with divers,
inviting to 'dance' or offering them a ride.
